The Official Launch of IDL-Elite
Posted: Tuesday 23 February 2010 2:50:48 by sulmar

Following weeks of careful planning and fervent discussion, the staff members of Australia's Premier DotA League, IDL, are proud to announce a new chapter in the history of competitive gaming. In order to accomplish our aim to bring forth the most ideal competitive DotA experience for the benefit of our players, we have decided to adopt the successful two-tier model of previous European DotA Leagues for our own.

From the roots of this idealistic crusade, the colossus of competitive DotA, IDL-Elite, is born. IDL-Elite is the battleground where the ambitious prove their worth, where the mighty conquer, where titans clash. New prizes and even greater recongnition lies just over the horizon for those who take up the mantle of this eminent challenge.

Due to the exclusive and elitist nature of this programme, the new, formidable division of IDL will, of course, be invite only. Presently, existing VIPs and several Captains have already been vouched for IDL-Elite. Those who miss out, however, need not despair; IDL staff are always on the lookout for new challengers to the regime, and at the end of each IDL season, the 5 best performers who were not previously members of IDL-Elite will be automatically vouched into the new platform. For those that have already been vouched, /j IDL2, and you're set.

Finally, I am proud to announce two additions to our staff roster to assist in the moderation of IDL-Elite. Braza and Jazzy, highly esteemed members of our community, will be the new recruits to our team. We hope you will enjoy these new features, and, as always, fight on!

On behalf of the IDL staff,

Best of Luck!

The Return of BA's Inhouse DotA League!
Posted: Wednesday 3 February 2010 4:39:11 by sulmar

After much planning and deliberation, Bored Aussies is proud to present the new exclusive Australian Inhouse DotA League!

-Welcome to the next level in Australian competitive DotA-

This time round, we're focused on bringing the league to its full potential. We've spent a lot of time looking at the way the old IDL/eSix was run and we believe we've found a way to improve the quality of individuals and teams alike. We believe the main way to achieve success in a league is through constant focus on fairness and unbiased attitude for all parties and 0 tolerance for consistent bad play within the league.

We have also decided to introduce prizes for the top players/teams of each division (PC Gear, Cash, Invites and of course the beloved tournament Icons) making this league a one of a kind for the Australian scene.

BA has also kindly invested in some new and improved bots, which will ensure little to no downtime, not to mention some cool new features and some brand new experimental game modes.

Finally, we've also put together a whole new Administration team dedicated to assisting YOU & running this league professionally and efficiently at all times.

The league has just been set up, so please be patient if any issues arise with the new bots!

More updates coming soon!

On behalf of the IDL staff,

Best of Luck & Game on!

After some discussion and debate, we’ve come up with the newest addition to the Feedback Team. We’ve had an overwhelming responce, with over 50 applicants applying for the position. I would like to thank you all for the continual support of the Feedback System. Please make welcome our newest members;

• FrikkenPro
• FcukQ
• woopedazz
• mr-mitch

I would also like to make mention to, OptimusPrimo, akimbo, funworld who came relatively close to getting it.

On another note; we’ve also promoted existing feedback peons Sil3nt_4ss4ssin & Ultra_Blue. Their continued effort in the feedback section has been a gruelling and long journey, and i hope this promotion will motivate them even more. Existing Feedback Admin sulmar has also been promoted, along with timbo400 who has undergone a slight promotion.

On behalf of the Bored Aussie Staff Team;
